Switch Glitch string of code text (Monster Eradication Goals, weddings, SquidFest, etc)

Received a “localized string” error message rather than an actual error when trying to put a coffee bean into a keg.
full message “(LocalizedTextStrings\\StringsFromCSFiles:Objects.cs.12721)”

Hi,

I just wanted to report a bug of sorts in regards to the monster eradication goals notice board. The text to view the bugs is showing up at “[LocalizedText Strings\\Location:AdventureGuild_KillList_Slime]”. This is showing up for each monster and then the “See Gil to claim your reward” text is normal. I am playing on the latest version of the game on the switch.

hellooo, so. i have a save file on my switch, it was made for local multiplayer, and the page showing the monster kill numbers has good this weird formatting issue? instead of showing the numbers regularly it shows them like this:

how do i fix this?

In the Adventurer's Guild, the list of monsters on the wall is bugged. The names are all variable names, rather than their plain text.

Switch edition SDV is currently glitched due to some code being messed up while the porting team was working on the patch for 1.6 update.

They have identified the problem and are working to fix it right now!
You can expect a bug fix to come out very soon!

Just wandering around with low energy. Thought I might check the price on potato seeds. Pierre isn't at the register but rather tending his shelves. You can see where I am standing & facing when I pressed the action button for the error to pop up.

Yeah, the error text shows up when trying to put less than 5 coffee beans in a keg. The devs found the cause for the issue, so it should be fixed soon.

The Trout Derby billboard text starts with the following code string:

[letterbg LooseSprites\\troutDerbyLetterBG 0]

This was encountered on Switch v1.6.15 build 2 on 2025/03/03. In-game time was 18 Summer Year 3, 5:20 pm.

Having similar issues, here are the triggers I've noticed
1. Have completed the gifts for George quest for the first time this save on Tuesday, enter Evelyn's home to trigger the cut scene on Wednesday but no cutscene plays and this error message is displayed instead

2. Visit Pierre's shop on a day when he is visiting the island resort, interact with the empty counter and receive this dialogue then no shop menu appears. Interacted with the counter again and this time the correct dialogue appeared followed by the shop menu

I'm on a Nintendo switch from 2017 (pre battery life improvement) running OS 19.0.1, stardew valley version v1.6.15 build 2

There's also this one in Harvey's, not sure if it always happens or just when he's not there. Probably the later.

Edit: it only occurs when he's not there. Maybe it happens with all vendors when they leave their vendor location?

So I have been playing a lot since 1.6 update. It started happening after year 7 I think. I have found this in "monster eradication goals", when Pierre is leaving for ginger island and I access the shop, and when Lewis says "you may kiss"

I was like this before the switch update and still persists in the new one (1.6.15.2)

I also want to clarify that this image is from a new save. NOT the 7+ long save.
