Windows game freezing entire pc at random times

been experiencing this for like a week, sometimes i can play for hours before it happens, sometimes it happens on the main menu intro, the game will freeze and then nothing on my pc will respond and i have to restart pc by holding the power button, i have tried everything to fix it, changing windows settings, changing steam settings, disabling all audio devices other than my headphones, changing in game settings. nothing has fixed it. i've tried checking error logs and nothing pops up. i have no clue what to do at this point, any help would be very appreciated.

I had the same issue with OBS software. Sometimes when I start the OBS, My PC completely stuck. I have to force to restart my PC.Try to update your graphics card driver.

okay so i have found the issue i believe, every time i adjust the volume at all the game will freeze without fail, this might be due to my headphones being slightly broken and they might be disconnecting for a split second, since stardew has issues with changing sound devices.
