This item costs 1 million for the recipe, reduces speed by 1, provides a slight red ambient glow, tip obviously periodically turns red, and when talking to villagers with it +20 friendship points. I must have this. Furthermore, this recipe must be bought from Shane and can only be bought if both Shane and Lewis are at 10 friendship hearts. Shane will only offer the recipe ONCE. Optionally twist: Shane becomes addicted and requires a cigar every week or you lose 1 heart every week with him. So when he gives recipe he is brought down to 9 hearts, and to get him back to 10 hearts requires having given him 100 cigars; friends for life which unlocks a special perk with him. In other words after buying the recipe Shane only likes and lives cigars, NOTHING else.

Hmm not one to encourage smoking myself. Actually the only known smokers are Sebastian and Willy. So if you were to make this mod it would need to center around them. The idea of Shane trading one addiction (alcoholism) for another (smoking) isn’t the best in my mind. But really a significant portion of the adult valley are alcoholics or at least working alcoholics. Especially if you have other major mods installed. Personally not my favorite touch to SDV but if they show trying to give up the addiction and trying to improve themselves like Shane I think we ought to try our best to keep him on that path, regardless of what you feel about the rest of my opinion. So if you were going to implement this it would be best to use Sebastian and Willy for a smoking mod. And many villagers wouldn’t like smoking near them so I’m not sure how it could increase friendship with many villagers. Maybe Sebastian and Willy have it as a liked or loved gift but I’m not sure about the others who would maybe have it as a liked gift. That might be something Abigail would like. Maybe Kent or Marlon. Possibly Pierre. The others I’m not seeing it as much. Then there are two kids and not seeing Jodi or Caroline as smokers or Marnie. Lewis may like it but would discourage the litter factor. Not seeing Penny, Maru, Demetrius, Robin, Leah, Elliot, or really anyone else as a smoker. Not Alex or Haley either. Not Evelyn. Possibly George. Pam I could see. Sam occasionally especially if Sebastian and Abigail do. Actually could see Wizard or Dwarf smoking. Not Krobus. Not sure who I’m missing. It could be a mod others might enjoy but it would need to be changed up just a bit imo. Good luck!
