How do you know this? Are you secretly an insider and have news you haven’t been sharing with us all along here? . No I realize it’s likely been posted somewhere out there on some Stardew gossip column somewhere, though I haven’t seen a thing.

There's an open stardew beta for 1.6.9 that you can opt into with a changelog. It's so that people can test out the update and report any issues

I believe there is a link somewhere on the main stardew valley website with a link tucked away on how to join. It's public but they don't want it spread everywhere on big platforms like twitter (as they want it pretty contained without a million duplicate bug reports coming in)

It's nice to look at just the changelog alone to see what's being added

- A play-through without Artisan

I have a knee-jerk aversion to Artisan. As soon as I saw what kind of crazy advantage it gave, I swore to never play with that perk.
