Android Cannot click on half of the toolbar

Im using 'Joystick and 2 buttons' to move and a horizontal toolbar. Something changed recently; I can't click on the right half of the toolbar to grab anything. It's like the joystick area is covering the toolbar. I really dislike using 'tap to move' controls and the vertical toolbar so I do not want to switch to them. Any ideas on what to do?
