quest bug

I wasted two weeks in game farming for the "Prismatic Jelly" and "A Curious Substance" quests, going to the mines absolutely all day every days after watering my crops, abused floor resets as much as I could, and I still didn't loot a single quest item from either quest. Talk about frustration...
