I finished Rock Rejuvenation but never received the Sewing Machine in the mail.

*Edit* I saw the cutscene, got the mail, but there was no sewing machine attached to the mail.

I think you have to go to Emily's house and see the cutscene there first.

Yes that is right. If you don't receive a recipe or machine, visit the questsgivers location for a cutscene first. Same thing with some other quests.
