When I try to open the game in steam, says that is starting but after a couple of seconds it stops

No, I was streaming it on discord because obs doesn't record well steam

Ok, I couldn't open it but I saw two strange things
1- I don't have a startup_preferences file
2- Aparently every time I try to run the game a new note is created in a folder named error logs, they have the name Null_player, and some numbers

Reinstall the game, also doesn't work

As far as I can see your game is unable to detect the graphics device on windows 8.
Try to run your game in “Compatibility” mode.
compatibility - for 32-bit systems
