I wonder how the NPCs of this game feel about each other...

In the world of Pelican Town, who do you think knows of who? And like... Has something to say about that person. And I don't mean the obvious pairs, like Leah and Elliot, I mean other people within town...

Pelican Town is a small town, and as small towns are, I feel like everybody is in everyone's business. So I would assume that everyone knows each other a little bit.

As some of my own examples:

I don't think Penny would like Shane, and in turn, I feel like Shane would be very aware of that and feel very awkward about it. Such different people.

I feel like Jodi would secretly not like Emily, and Emily would be kinda aware of it, but not really. I think Jodi, as much as I love her, would be put off by Emily, because Emily is a little eccentric.

Finally, I think Abigail would think Leah is like... Super cool, and would admire her all the time for being a cool artist chick who lives out on her own near the woods.

I mean we get to see a few dynamics emerge as we play, and there's plenty that we don't see either, these are people who've grown up and lived amongst each other in a pretty tight community, many of which for their whole lives, so I'd imagine we only ever see the surface level.

Some examples are the groups that talk and hang amongst eachother, especially on saloon nights, tuesday workouts, the younger adults. There's the dynamics between Penny and the kids/their families, interactions between villagers as they go to stores, the love-not love dynamic between Emily and Clint.

As much as it's enjoyable to befriend the villagers, I do wish we saw a little more of them interacting with themselves

I always wanna know what Clint and Willy talk about when they sit together at the Saloon on Fridays. Are they just sharing one table? They gotta be having at least a little bit of conversation. I think they'd have a good amount in common, honestly.

And I think Abby would be the type to sneak away to the adventurers' guild in the evenings to train with Marlon, and Pierre would be at loggerheads with Marlon because he suspects this and is jealous that his daughter is doing her own thing and no longer wants to be controlled...

Elliott is secretly angry at Penny and Maru because, as a writer, he's not allowed to join their book club, but the two of them just don't like drama queens in their midst...

I've heard all sorts of theories for this one. I personally think it's funny to imagine Mr. Qi doing it-

Yeah, I thought so, too, but it doesn't make sense at all. The only time Outsiders come to visit PT is the Valley Fair, but you can get the dialogue random through the year. Nobody ever leaves a train, they only drive by. But you have Morris and the workers at Joja, however they get to work everyday, since they don't seem to live in town...(except Sam and Shane)
And I would also exclude the Bookseller and the travelling merchants...

Maybe the Witch is another possibility at all... She leaves eggs in the Coop and could also throw stones at a tent from above...

I like this theory the most, it makes sense since linus lives close to the train tracks and its the sort of chaotic thing she would do

I have a though about that, most villagers if not all of them dislike you when you scavenger on the thrash and that's linus pretty much every day basis, so i think that most of the town dislikes him, except Gus who actually was nice to him on the cinematic.

I think Haley and Abigail wouldn't tag alone, and possibly Vincent would like to hang out with the older boys like Sam and sebastian, playing guitar and videogames.

Evelyn knows a lot about everybody, and what they went through in their lives to get where they are, and it's *why* she doesn't judge them or gossip. She's seen it all and is shocked by none.
The only person she ever mentions anything to is Gus, who is in the same boat, and she's just not in the saloon often enough to do even that very often.

George knows about some of it, but where Evelyn doesn't talk, he goes a bit out of his way not to know too much about his neighbours, because he knows he's judgy by nature.

Alex has learned to clean up and help out around the house since Evelyn's eyes are failing, but he doesn't like it when anyone notices, because he thinks it's unmanly, so you will never, ever hear him say so, and he only cleans the tv room when his grandpa is outside or at the clinic and won't see him at it. (George notices and knows Evelyn was with him and if his grandson ever asked, wouldn't think being useful is unmanly.)

EVERYONE (well, every adult -- Vincent has no idea) knows about Marnie and Lewis, and has since before the farmer showed up. The only people who haven't figured this out are Lewis, who's oblivious even to hints, and to a lesser degree Marnie, who wonders a bit about some comments made at the yoga class but tries not to think too hard about it.

Linus, Marlon and the Wizard all know each other and get along really well, partly because each one has a completely different sphere.

Penny doesn't like either Abigail or Haley (or Shane, as someone else said above) but she knows how to be friendly to everyone, and they have no idea she has any strong opinions. She's a bit intimidated by Leah's independence and artistic talent, though they'd get along fantastically if she ever overcame her shyness and actually talked to the woman.

Haley actually likes people better, but has no idea how to get along with anyone and has rubbed almost everyone the wrong way at some point, including her actual friends and sister, by saying something too blunt.

Love this entire list. Especially love blunt Haley and her rubbing everyone the wrong way. She's such a great character.

Absolutely adore the idea of Alex cleaning up around the house to help his granny, and love the idea that George would respect his grandson for doing that. Especially, because it's very in line for George's character to admire others who are striving to be useful.
