Switch Crafting Bug

There is a crafting bug on the Switch and Switch 2 versions of the game where items are disappearing. I suggest that you keep no items in your inventory while crafting apart from the crafting materials, that is. My 20 Calico eggs disappeared and other people are having the same problems.

I hope not! That would be a very long time to wait to fix a pretty critical bug. I'm guessing there will be a patch as soon as they've figure out a fix

I tried looking it up because I've mostly had no issues with crafting until the other day when I tried to make some fish smokers and it consumed the pirate's locket. Thankfully I made them right before I was about to go hand in birdie's quest, so I noticed right away and was able to exit without saving. But anyway, it looks like it affects any recipe that uses an object new to 1.6. So that's all the recipes that call for moss, the three fishing jellies, or mystic syrup

Same. I have lost my Horse Flute, numerous crab pots, AND my current Qi challenge to earn gems so I can buy back my Horse Flute has disappeared from my Journal. It’s ridiculous.

You might be able to buy it back from the crow in the Secret Woods!
