Switch Items disappearing from (not full) inventory [v1.6.15 build 11 crafting bug]

I just wouldnt play stardew on switch rn. There are so many glitches. But if you do dont craft anythibg. Thats why your flute is disappearing

I love stardew valley, but I’m so frustrated!! This is the second time my horse flute has completely disappeared, and this time it was THE DAY I bought it. I hate doing the qi quests but I busted my butt to get the 50 qi coins for the horse flute, for the second time. I woke up and it was missing from my backpack ): I checked all of my boxes like a maniac, and thought maybe I accidentally sold it but apparently it can’t be sold, I even restarted the day and it’s still gone I’m so upset I didn’t even have it for a full 24 hours before it disappeared

I’ve been crafting everything with the upmost attention. Good to know that there are some specific items besides the blue grass.

ConcernedApe confirmed that all the crafting recipes below have a bug that makes them consume the wrong items. Be aware that crafting any of them may cause unexpected items in your inventory to be consumed. If you do need to craft these, empty your inventory of everything except the required ingredients, and don't use the workbench

My hubby gave me this gave for Christmas so we could play together in co-op mode on Switches. At first, I was the only one with items disappearing from my backpack and my chest.

Then tonight, he lost his first item and it's a dozy – his hoe. Since he does the bulk of the farming on our land, he now cannot play. He can't find where to buy a new one (which he'd need to upgrade to silver level). I'm pretty angry about this and it is ruining the gift.

We notice the missing items when a new day starts or when we go to given any item to the museum or a villager.

I don't craft much in the game, so it isn't only happening when I craft things.

If one of the starting tools disappears due to a glitch, the game detects that and the tool shows up in the Lost & Found box inside Lewis' house. If the missing hoe is not there, then it must still be somewhere, either in a chest, a fridge, or an auto grabber.

Playing on switch, thought I was losing my mind when I noticed my horse flute was missing, assumed maybe I'd sold it by accident. Just loaded up with all my artifact troves, Omni geodes, Golden mystery boxes, etc. to head to Clint's in hopes of getting Qi beans since I'm doing that quest. I guess it's from trying to craft treasure totems, but they're ALL GONE!!! Every geode, trove, all of it!!! And can only craft one totem at a time on top of it. Good God please fix the bug, the game is unplayable like this!!

I know this is no consolation, but due to this bug, you can now craft Treasure Totems
using only Hardwood and Torch without Mystic Syrup and Moss.

Using this Treasure Totem, I believe Artifact troves and Omni geodes can be obtained once more.

However, as you know, crafting it simply leaves only one Treasure Totem remaining,
so you must craft it using the following procedure.

1. Do not use a workbench
2. Empty your inventory
3. Place Hardwoods and Torches in the bottom-right slot of your inventory
4. Perform consecutive crafting actions
5. Stop when you have fewer than 11 Torches. Once crafting begins, the Treasure Totem itself will start to be consumed.

I have the same issue. My horse flute has disappeared four times and each time I habe to restart my day. I heard its a bug with crafting which sucks because its my last trophy

Okay, now I’m scared to continue playing. I thought only the crafting of blue grass starter was causing this problem. If other crafting are the same, I’m worried about having lost items I didn’t even noticed!

FYI, I’m playing on my Switch Lite. No plans to update to a Switch 2 yet.

Every bug, framerate drops and freezes began on the 1.6 update, as far as I can tell.

Version 1.5 used to be perfect.

Okay same. I've not upgraded to Switch 2 and dont plan on it. I've been playing this game for 5 yrs saving items and now I wonder what's gone missing that I haven't noticed. I'm so close to platinuming it but I am scared I'm gonna lose out on all my stuff before I can.

I found it and went to sleep in the game (it was late) and the next day it disappeared from my inventory along with 12 food bars. I didn't have the axe anywhere, neither in my inventory nor in the chests (I don't have a refrigerator) and the problem is that the axe is no longer in the place where you find it, even though the quest is still active.

Normally, lost quest items should be recoverable from the lost & found box in Mayor Lewis' house,
but quest items vanished due to this bug cannot be retrieved.

Please be aware that all quest items are susceptible to vanishing due to this bug.

Yes, that's why i mentioned it, in case it happens to someone else so they don't go crazy looking for it.
