Is a shed that much larger than a cabin to justify the price? Also did you decorate your shed?I think every farm is overwhelming at first when it's completely overgrown. Hilltop is rather rugged in terms of terrain and has a river that divides the land. So you don't have too many large contiguous areas of farmland, if that's important to you. The small quarry is useful for ore and coal if you don't want to go straight to the mines. I've set it up so that I have the fields on the strip in front of the farmhouse, and the large area next to the quarry is the pasture with the stables, because that's where there was the most grass and you don't need much fencing because the animals don't cross the small bridges. The rest is an orchard, a tappered forest, and one fish pond so far. I didn't build a shed, cause I started using the cellar for most of the machines.
