1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Nah, you can still get it again (I accidentally threw #10 back into the water/lava and eventually got it again). It just takes a very long time.

See, the % chance of getting a journal scrap from any given scrap-revealing activity decreases with each scrap you get. So by the time you're down to 10 and 11 the odds get very slim and grinding it can be a very long and tedious process. And there's nothing for it but to be tenacious, stubborn, and patient.
I see, thanks for the information! :D

Reached year 2, upgraded my house for the first time, and need just one more item to complete the final bundle for the community center. A fried egg, so just a matter of frying one now that I have a kitchen. Also got around to buying a dresser. Have wanted one for a while but always got distracted by what to build next, or been there the wrong day for it. Oh, and got a visit from the witch, at a point where I was starting to contemplate just buying a void egg.

Kinda happy that I seem to have got a co-worker hooked on the game. My bait was that the Meadowlands farm came with chickens, and that one can play as leisurely as one wishes.

Got "danger in the deep" quest, and spent 4 days straight completing it, while doing so slayed last 44 dust sprites for monster eradication goal. Then I went to volcano, got the last dragon tooth for the obelisk, now just waiting for the banana tree. Finished my combined ring set (iridium band + smile charmer; savage + burglar's)
Got another barn built. My plan is to have one general coop and general barn, and then one coop for dinosaurs and one barn for ostriches. Robin is in process of building me a second fish pond, I'll have many of those, I want every unique colored one, and now legendary fish and their extended family relatives each have their own colored water. My fishing collection is almost finished, but I'm waiting on legendary fish because I want to have three of each, and I haven't claimed fishing mastery yet.

At Summer 20 year 6, I now officially have more in-game time logged on my 1.6 file than I do on my very first file, the latter of which I felt I couldn't really pull into the new direction that 1.6 had. Ironically, I spent more IRL time on my current file than my old one.

Maybe I should think about starting a new file on a farm map I've never done soon.

I'm also close to getting enough radioactive bars to buy enough galaxy souls to dress up infinity weapons with every Desert Festival-exclusive NPC weapon. Then it's just a matter of what enchantments I will use.

I currently have an iridum needle with maximum critical chance but undecided on enchantments, Abby's Planchette used as a bug killer, a crusader meowmere, and Seb's Lost Mace as an artful hammer.

Had a decent haul (for me) of eggs at the Desert Festival. Got a santa elf costume, the teal "dress", and the toga outfit from Emily. No useful random merchants. Spent too much on buying bombs as I'd forgotten to trade my jade for staircases the Sunday before the festival. That really hurt my farmer's wallet. But I did get enough iridium for the anchor once I turn them into bars. Of course, repairing the boat opens up a whole new batch of running around and trying to find time for everything I want to get done.

Maybe I should wait with the boat repair... nah. But I might wait a couple of days before I use it.

I always repair the boat as soon as I can and then wait for a suitable time to go to ginger island for the fist time because I tend to spend like a week there before returning to the valley and being met with crops to harvest, animal products to collect, pick up everything from the processing machines that are ready, random items in the mail (i don't check the island mailbox) etc. etc.
Though now I play with mods and automate has made it much less overwhelming

I tend to go back and forth every day, bringing a farm totem along so I can poof back in the nick of time. I don't think I'll ever consider the farm automated enough for more than one overnight stay, and I'm a few seasons away from that.

After a several month hiatus, I'm back to playing my 25% profits Beach Farm.

Unfortunately, this happened: I had Journal Scrap #10 and gave it to Penny. I haven't gotten any Journal Scraps since then, so I seem to be locked out of reading Journal Scrap #10 or ever finding #11.

Thankfully, Perfection shouldn't be ruined, because it's still possible to find an Ostrich Egg in a rare volcano chest, right?

Still, this is an unfortunate thing. A dev oversight?
Ostrich egg is absolutely possible, in fact is 1/9 odds like everything in a rare chest except for the dragontooth weapons. Ps welcome back.

In my first playthrough through I cooked a dish with my ostrich egg and didn’t realize until the next day. Unfortunate thing, indeed. I learned the hard way.

Thanks, yeah, I got the egg. But I don't think the Journal Scraps are coming. I'll wait until the only thing I need is that last Golden Walnut, then I'll just pay the 10,000g for it. We'll see.

The only question is: Do I just pay the 5,000,000g for the waivers, or do I save up for the clock?

Honestly I'd just save for the clock, unless you just want to be over and done with the file.

It's a nice trophy if you plan on leaving the file when you're done

Today as I threw a fish into a pond, I accidently clipped on to it. Don't know how or why.
Interestingly, when I walked to the top of it, it turned opaque.

It can happen with the player hitbox when you turn at the exact moment you're running past something

It happens more often with the horse as it has an uneven hitbox, you can practice clipping through fences and into buildings while riding and actually get pretty consistent with it

Claimed my first mastery for this save, and planted 7 mystic tree seeds in my grove. Also opened up Ginger Island West and got almost enough to rebuild the farmhouse there. Could've got the house restored if I hadn't got caught up in clearing the field. Got the last two minerals for the museum, so now I just need a few artefacts.
Got the 8 heart event for Vincent and Jas shortly before summer began. Previous save I had to wait until year 3 before I got it.

Currently in the beginning of Winter year 3 and I just need 4 million bucks to achieve perfection on my 25% profits farm.

I'm kind of excited, as I have no idea whether I can make that kind of money in a month, but I'm trying my hardest, so the next week or so should be an interesting indication of whether I can manage it.

This seems to be the true way to play the game, and anyone who plays on 100% profits is playing baby-mode and anything they accomplish pretty much doesn't count xD
