Just something popped into my mind...What is(are) the funniest thing(s) you've done when playing SDV?

Mine is don't knowing how to get into the mines(Yes I literally walked around and around the staircase and didn't know that it can be interacted with XD)and don't knowing you can actually get out of the farm lmao
Both happened when I'm playing SDV for the first time

First thing that came to mind… filling my inventory with stone from robins while brushing my hair, teeth, folding laundry, etc., with my free hand and struggling… (I thought it was funny).

I’m sure I’ve done all kinds of silly stuff over the years of learning. One thing I remember was struggling majorly, to the point of anger, trying to find my way around town or farm at night. Spending hours trying to find my way home, only to pass out in a bush nearby.

Most recently. I discovered you can change more than one profession per day, you can change ALL OF THEM! The hours I have wasted planning out profession changes month to month year after yearrr…. Honestly can’t believe it, only took 1000+ hrs to figure it out.

I relate to those beginning weeks (or months) when you can’t find a blasted glow ring in the mines and you literally can’t see the way home. I have middle aged eyes and my night vision is shot. Now I cheat (but for many I’d say it is genuine accessibility) and spawn a glow ring soon as possible.

When I first started playing, I had put down my crops and watered them, and wondered how I was going to water them from here on. It was actually an accident that I found out that the watering can is able to be filled up with any body of water. The crops had gone about one in game week without being watered, other than when it rained.

When I just started playing I didn't know where the mines are and how do I get ore, so I googled it and it told me to break nodes with my pickaxe. So I went to the farm cave, which has the little yellow vein at the top left and wasted all my energy trying to mine it.
Also I didn't know how the map very well and didn't know you could zoom out so I got lost all the time, not knowing how to get home and passing out at night.

I think it really has to come down stuff I used to do when first playing that would be the funniest to me now.

especially early on in the games release there were a load of really random bugs that got patched all the time, so I’d always try to keep using them to absolutely no avail or be confused why something wasn’t working. If you don’t come to a place like this or browse videos/the wiki you don’t really figure stuff out ahead of time

The first rainy day I just went back to bed.

I had an old harvest moon game where the farmer got sick when he worked in the rain for too long, so you had to skip those days after doing the most urgent tasks, or you’d miss the next day.

Psst, you can carry a torch in your hands if you need light. Just steal those in the mines, ain't no one who's going to miss them.

I do not have any funny stories that I can recall right now, except for a slightly meta one: when I was showing the game to one of my friends, she looked at my farmer avatar and said something like "yep, that's you". Funny how I managed to represent my entire being in a bunch of pixels.

I managed to get lost on my own farm during the first week, and passed out somewhere because I couldn't get back to the house before 2 AM. I think that was also the save where I put a tapper on the wrong tree, thought it was stuck there forever, and ended up starting a new save.
