Switch Lost watering can

Please help! I don't know what happened to my watering can. I thought I left it with Clint for upgrade, but when I went to him, he asked if I wanted to upgrade my tools and doesn't have my watering can. It's currently winter during the night event thing. Might that have anything to do with it?

We're playing coop, split screen on Switch.

I've already checked all the chests I could think of and another I found. I also checked lost and found after I saw the notice saying some items were put there. (That's when I noticed the can missing.)

What else can I do if I can't find it?

I’ve just had the same thing happen! (Mobile) Went to drop off my watering can for an upgrade and after three days, it’s still missing

What else can I do if I can't find it?

If your watering can is not in the Lost & Found box, then it must be somewhere else, and it wasn't deleted by a bug or something. Have you checked inside one of your fridges or inside an auto grabber in a coop or barn? Those are common places where people forget their tools
