So today I went on my first ever deep dive into the Skull Cavern. I stopped at floor 1000 since it's a nice round number, and ended up with 7 Auto Petters. I'm not sure if that's average or not.

My Basic Retaining Soil isn't working as advertised. It's not staying watered overnight EVER. It used to, but after like a week it just stopped. I wonder if anyone knows whether this is a known glitch, or what?

Ok, my Basic Retaining Soil works just fine.

It was just me, on year 28, not knowing how Basic Retaining Soil functions.

Like at this sight. Anybody know where the Henchman and Casino dude wandered off? I need a lookout and guard for a woman who stands uncomfortably close to the farm

I think this is a new v1.6 addition to Emily's weekly schedule, though it could be from an earlier update? On Fridays she goes to the West Dock to look for mermaids in the morning and then in the afternoon goes to the W side of river in town below the waterfall out of the mountain pond to watch the water there before heading to the Saloon at 4pm or so. It could even be Married schedule and dialog?

Edit: I looked it up. It's Emily's Married schedule and I got part of it wrong. On Monday mornings she cooks for Haley and then at noon goes to the river E. of the Community Center before the Saloon. On Friday mornings she goes to the Docks looking for mermaids, then spends the afternoon browsing at Pierre's before heading to the Saloon.

And I liked the idea of Emily suggesting that they look for Bobbi's sisters, ignorant of my headcanon that the mermaids are actually Emily's long lost birth family.

Yeah her parents have been missing in action for more than 2 years and she was left in charge of the house and her sister. But they look and act so differently. Maybe they had trouble having kids. Adopted Emily and then had a miracle baby in Haley hence why she acts like a spoiled brat when you first meet her. They kind of put her on a pedestal and left Emily to do the harder things. Never know….but then why they didn’t take Haley with them when she was the “miracle” baby that part wouldn’t make sense. If the above is true maybe they are voyaging the world in search of Emily’s real family who are actually Mermaids hence why it is taking so long to find them. The things that come into my mind

Started a new gamefile today. (Riverland, wanted to try a chill decorative playthrough for once)

Day 5 - Mines. Got the Crab (already found the other 4 Crab pot bundle thingies on the beach) 2 cherry bombs, enough copper for furnace and 5 bars.
AND I GOT 3 (!) CLUBS (even though I only got down 10 levels, got sidetracked on my way XD....) kept the first one I got, since it was enchanted with slime slayer and the other ones were bare. ---> Boo. ^^ No Ancient seed or coffee bean neither

Day 6 - Went fishing (rain - catfish) - some bait, river jelliys, coal, iron, 14 gold, a fire quartz, a magma geode....
AND A DINO EGG! ----> Seriously game, where is my Ancient Seed? And My iridum Band and my weapons? Maybe I follow the quest order for once and build a coop and grow Dinos XD

Day 7 - Rise and Shine! Still sleepy. Thinking about if I wanted to upgrade my axe or my pickaxe today with the catfish money (lvl 5 fishing is hit of course) and the 5 copper bars I crafted while fishing...

Sashimi. Oak Resin. Trap Bobber....nice to have, why not.... Cheapest(!) APPLE SAPLING. Maple Bar. COFFEE BEAN?! IRIDIUM BAR?!............... Excuse me? I brought money, but not that much?! I expected a whole lot of uselessness! (And was actually hoping for there NOT being stuff I wanna buy like Red Cabbage, maybesome animal products ^^ So thanks, I guess, for offering a a bean starter and some useless food too. although even the cherry bomb would be nice ^^ )

I like those funny game starts.

I'll never forget the one time I started a playthrough which was supposed to be only fishing. But with iridium Band, Broken Trident and Neptune's Glaide before Day 5 - How could I not go mining? XD XD XD

After a long break from Stardew, my wife and I return to the farm life with Fintastic Farm! A farm designed for many fish ponds for crazy roe output and smoked fish for days!
How is the farm actually used now? Stupid large field and multiple sheds for wine and pickles...

I bought another rabbit since I got a golden animal cracker from a fishing chest. My army is growing. (Most of them are hiding amongst the blue grass.)

I'm also very close to perfection, so I'm collecting cooking ingredients and making money through ancient fruit and tree fruits. It's a process... I also stupidly bought the furniture catalog and didn't even decorate my house yet. Oof.

The furniture catalog is a cheap mandatory purchase that you don't need to do anything with. Good times, lol

I got perfection on Metal Farm! I initially had a lot of issues with my save file due to mods, but I was able to fix it and reach the summit by playing the original/vanilla version of the game and got the achievement.

I had this save since October 2024 and have been playing it pretty regularly. I got 100% perfection on Summer 10, Year 4.

I've amassed a collection of 6 dinosaurs, and I put them on their own little island, complete with mossy seed trees for a nice prehistoric feeling for them. The witch constantly harasses them though, she's come by about 7 times since I set up their area and void egged them.

Also I got goats, again. I had some before but I got rid of them, but now I have them again lol. I hoard their milk to make goat cheese.

I've also gotten my Ginger Island farm up and running. I made little crop rings full of consistently producing plants and surrounded the farm with random fruit trees. I'm planning on adding a flower field and bees to FINALLY get some flavored honey. But I use the crops I grow to stay alive in the volcano mines, and as a way to feed Leo lol.

And finally, for the first time ever, I met this little raven in the woods selling random goods on Spirit's Eve. I don't know how long that's been a thing but it was really cool and I totally didn't buy everything he was selling.

Early Winter Y1, on a whim, bought 12 apricot trees so the next year would see me with a stack of cheap universally liked gifts to hand out to everyone I see. Then learned you have to plant them three spaces apart, rather than two like normal trees, so had to split them up into two smaller groves. May come up with a creative alternative placement come summer.

Honestly, I'm so relieved lol. But it feels accomplishing! I'm hoping to reach perfection on the save I share with my friend, but I don't see it happening for a while. XD
