1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Don't know if the volcano dungeon layout changed in 1.6 but I'm seeing fewer (none) dragon skeletons where the teeth usually spawn. But anyway, I finally got enough to do the trade, and upon opening a golden coconut the next day, got a second banana sapling!
So while those grow, set up a pineapple plot/winery and a coffee plot/brewery on my Ginger island farm, and also comissioned Robin to build my horse stable for my main farm. See if he can wear my dinosaur hood.
Next up: finish off the monster slayer goals (mummies and pepper rexes) so off to skull cavern...

Edit - forgot I did some iridium panning near my farm crabpots and fished up a bridal veil and the luck ring! Went and combined with my napalm ring.

Yes it got harder. Many things have. To the point I feel sorry for anyone not experienced with the game starting for first time. I can’t imagine the level difficulty and overwhelming frustration that would be for someone not well versed in the game. Even for those well versed starting fresh save is HARD in 1.6. Once you get to and through mastery it eases up a bit but for newbs they don’t know that. Slow and steady wins the race but the race is more of a marathon now than the 5K in 1.4 I think it could turn brand new people off from game. 🫤☹

Played on PC 2.5 years ago. Bought the game on PS5 a few days ago and started a save yesterday on the 4 corners map. Always used standard farm before. Named my farmer after my RL cat, and the cat after me 😂

Very early, only Spring 13 or so, just before the Egg Hunt failure festival 😭 Controls are more difficult, I'm missing the watering tile half the time, so will surely mess up the eggs too. Been too long.

It has been fun to play again, tho, and I still love the fishing minigame 😻 New stuff too, I see, like books, mastery and the ticket lottery Lewis mentioned. I blew 3000g on a book to show value of goods, because I seriously miss the mod that did that, and showed what seed was in the ground and how many days were left. But at least I have the price now.

Not been able to afford the second backpack upgrade yet, nor the fishing pole with bobbers. No buildings or house upgrades either, but have gotten to level 30 in the mines, and am about to pick up the first tool upgrade: pickaxe.

Fishing level 8, rest is 1 to 3.

Not playing blind ofc, but there is a lot I don't recall. Like what rewards are in the mines and the requirements for the CC, so it has been a very fresh experience 😊

Oh my god it has been a WHILE since i have either been on the forums or played stardew. I was just looking though old posts on here and I realized I haven't really played for over half a year...

Fortunately, I have attained some of my goals I had been working on since last year. I finally unlocked ginger island and have made some progress on it, and my farm is looking really good with at least 10 irdium sprinklers, full barns and coops, and lots of preserves jars and juice makers (i forgot their name lmaoo)

I think I have kinda burnt myself out on that save and it's also lonely playing by myself. I might start a new save with my sister or by myself, and try to get back into the game again...

...i've missed talking on the forums and playing the game! I'm going to try to check the site more often because i love interacting with people who are just as into the game as I am

As expected, completed Monster Slayer (got lucky and hit a Pepper rex floor), what was unexpected was completing the museum on the same day, after digging up the final artefact in Calico desert.

Next on my list is unlocking the Walnut room, but that won't be immediate as I keep getting messages saying my banana tree didn't grow overnight. Little do they know I've also got one growing in my greenhouse! So instead I might gun for the mutant carp as that's the last fish I need to get.
