Happens to me too. I just put the extras in a chest. It sure helped in getting the two snake parts.

Yeah, I completed the snake on an earlier patch that didn't present with this glitch, so no such luck for me.

You were lucky to get them before - it took me forever to get them in my earlier games. I started a new game with this new release, so it helped me out.
