Yeah just the legend and legend 2 were making upwards of 7k a day which is far outside the realm of balanced level that they were supposed to have. I personally don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for the legends but the fact that you can get infinite functionally identical legend 2s makes it pretty justifiable
17 roe, as a quantity, has (had?) a *chance* to be so many. And post 26 days with producing nothing, on top...
Infinite Legend 2, are anything but "infinite"... Fishponds aren't exactly small (space they occupy) and somebody who deems them important, requires a variety of fish.
Either way works, it gets at the same thing and shows off that the legend ponds are special and different from 'all the other ponds' as they should be - they just don't have to make an absurd amount of cash
There is no limit on how many you can catch and have, therefore they are "un-limited" in the very basic sense of the word. Having an overpowered fish pond is fine when the player can only have a single one. If every pond can be overpowered and produce so much cash then it removes any viability for other ponds, especially when the disparity is so large.
I recently redesigned my farm map layout and without closing off any area, i actually finally managed, to make space for 36 in total fishponds! Although it now feels extremely cramped in there (especially whenever traversing the field), i can house all edible fish, all gift fish, all deep sea fish (my favorites), the stingray, all color-changing fish and the complete range of Legendary 1 + 2 fish (one copy each)! I will stay at that. Now, i think i am set up for life!
It’s been 5 days since I commented and still nothing from my Legend fish pond… used one of my only 2 crackers too lol (I know that doesn’t have an effect on probability). In that time I recently added a Crimson fish pond and that has given me roe quite regularly… obviously not like a regular fish pond but enough to justify itself, it feels balanced. I’m beginning to think something is bugged with my Legend fish pond. Getting closer to reporting a bug!
Nice! I think that's a good chunk of farm realestate for ponds and will definitely set you up for a good while.
You may even consider having some off the farm to save some more precious farm space. I'd recommend the desert, backwoods, tunnel, quarry, and sewer/south cindersap and there are a bunch more good areas too.
Nope! It's about a 1/20 chance per day at this point and is a little underwhelming but rather balanced when it comes to cash, it's about on par with a lava eel pond if not a little worse.
Wow, thank you very much! You're so helpful, i actually forgot i could do that! I need to check some of other players' layouts! With so many ponds and with Golden Animal crackers being a thing, i am going to need a roe factory, no mere shed!
Hmm it's weird the crimsonfish hasn't given you anything in 2 weeks... Mine gives me roe decently regularly. It does sometimes go for a bit without anything though. My legend pond has gone back to giving me f*** all for a couple weeks or so but I know it works, at least lol. I think you should stay strong and persevere! I thought I rememebred hearing that crimsonfish and angler have essentially same chance for roe output? At least I'm pretty sure money wise they're worth the same :/
