Solved Fector's challenge not unlocking when i beat it [Windows]

I have defeated the entire Journey of the Prairie King without dying TWICE and it wont show up. Is there something you have to do before its granted? Things to note: I beat it on the arcade game thats gifted to you after beating it and i havent slept yet

It did! I deleted the text between the <achievements> and <\achievements> and since i still had the game saved before the final boss fight i quickly defeated him and got the achievement! Thanks alot man!

The upcoming Stardew Valley 1.6.16 rewrites the achievement code to work much more reliably. In particular, the game will now re-send the Steam achievement automatically if you already have the in-game achievement (so you don't need to manually edit the save file anymore).
