Which bachelor should I go for?

He's at 14 hearts and a pretty happy spouse so far... We are married for two year's now and the only things I get from him are a lot of poetic chit-chat and a coffee several times a week. But tbf, I use to come home very late, even on rainy days, so he's usually in bed already and we don't have the evening dialogue.
That’s the thing, you have to be home for dinner. Not easy for a busy farmer.

No. Keep them at even reasonable hearts and they’re nice. Occasionally moody, but who isn’t?
There is also a chance that your spouse be jealous if you give a gift to one of the marriage candidate of the same gender than your spouse (if you also previously gave a bouquet to that NPC). Your spouse will give you an angry message if (s)he becomes jealous, no matter how many hearts you have.

Whoa, I’m just about to start my first playthrough and I can already tell there’s a lot to wrap my head around! Any tips on how not to get totally lost with all the gifting and heart levels?
Just take it easy and you'll probably figure it out. You can raise their heart levels by just talking to them most days and doing requests. If you do give gifts, you can view their profiles and see how previous gifts have been received. The gifts be grouped by how much they liked the items, with a small symbol in the lower right corner if you've got that item with you. You will also have villagers telling you what someone else likes or dislikes, and that information will also make its way to that person's profile.

You'll likely end up viewing a bunch of heart events without even trying, but others require a bit of effort. At 2 hearts, you can enter a person's bedroom, or in the case of Leah and Elliot, their houses. Some events require that you enter a villager's house while they're in there, which might require a bit of schedule checking.

oh wow, i didn’t even realize the profile keeps track of what gifts you’ve given before. that’s super handy, otherwise it’d be way too easy to get confused with all their likes and dislikes.

And if you have things in your inventory, open the same menu and check on a person, then it tells you, if you have something they like in your backpack.

Soooo…

I’m starting a new playthrough, and I’m in a bit of a dilemma.

I have to choose my future husband, but honestly, I don’t really have a favorite. The only character I truly simp for (my soulmate, obviously) is Hayden from Fields of Mistria. Compared to him, the Stardew Valley bachelors are… well… something

Still! I need romance in my game, so I’m calling upon you–yes, you, the smart, wise and beautiful person reading this, to help me decide. Please guide me, for my love life, I AM BEGGING YOU-!!:cry:

In my opinion, there is only one candidate I would ever consider, but he's pretty much perfect: Elliott.

He's a bit vain about his hair, but I honestly find it more amusing than anything else. He's great overall, and I happen to enjoy his poetic comments. Plus, he has several lines about how he enjoys life at the farm, and he never complains about anything. His life also remains pretty much unchanged compared to being a bachelor; his future isn't ruined or hugely altered by getting married. He even says married life is good for him.

So yeah, my pick every time.

(Everyone apart from him and Harvey is basically a kid, so too immature. That will change with 1.7, but while I don't dislike Clint I would never want to be with him.)

Don't wanna be like LITTERALLY EVERYONE, but I personnally would go for Sebastian, because of how cute his 8-14 heart events. I LOVE the little frog terrarium you get.

Also, steer clear of Clint in case he starts rambling about his ingrown toenails and how your zit matches your shirt or something :defeated:

Yeah, Clint was a strange pick. I’d prefer someone like Marlon (he’s kind of hot, you can’t deny it)
