Well I have one true love in life forever so I don’t really have feelings for them but more like best in game friends with children.

Modded Shane is amazing. He struggles with depression like me so I really relate to that plus modded has a real transformation and stays on that path after marriage and becomes an excellent Godfather for Jas. It’s the Immersive Shane mod for other modders. Also modded Ridgeside’s Shiro is a real sweetheart and he is disabled like I am so we share that in common.

But Plain unmodded Stardew it’s usually Harvey. He’s one of the few older ones and Elliot is way too vain and unmodded Shane is just depressing. I wish they did better with him sticking on track once married. If you marry unmodded Shane he reverts back to his alcoholic self. So sad.

Marnie NEEDS to be a marriage candidate as do Clint, Willy, Marlon and Linus. They are all labeled Single so no family break ups. Though Marnie would have to have Jas come stay with you, unless Shane really stuck on the path of being a non-alcoholic Godparent. Marnie deserves better. There isn’t even a mod out that’s up to date for her to marry say Marlon or a player.

ETA I forgot Pam. I know shes’s horrible as is and abusive to penny but they could improve her story and have her date/marry the player or Gus and she get on a road to recovery and Penny could have that house to herself and enjoy true unabusive freedom she deserves until Sam or the player sweeps her of her feet.

ETA (again): Also of course I forgot Sandy. She seems interesting and maybe once married you’d learn her real story and real name for that matter.

Wizard can be married if you mod on Stardew Expanded. Though I’d advise against it cause if mature events is on he’s very close to at least 2 women (you know one) and I’ve never even dated him of course cause if that but who’s to say he stops seeing ladies once married.

Marnie, the truffle oil queen! (sorry). Because we're both farmers and I like her vibes. I remember seeing an old poll CA made about future marriage candidates, and Marnie was on the list. I felt sick to my stomach that she didn’t win or eventually become a marriage candidate just because... but fortunately, someone superior was on that poll: Emily! And she won. I used to be a big Robin fan, but (not to be controversial), she kinda sucks lol. After rewatching the game intro a few times and going through various dialogues, she’s just a bad mom and a bad person in general. "I knew it from the moment you stepped off that bus, [Player]... you were destined to be a town hero!" She legit tried to guilt-trip us into using her services the first time we met, talking about "town hero"... get out of my face you deceitful, two-faced witch! She is so fake bruh she and demetrius were meant for each other. I still like Marnie and wish she was a candidate. "Just install mods bro!" Never! I want to keep my game pure! (And I got PTSD from installing mods incorrectly and completely messing up my game (Undertale colour mod lol))

I play on mobile, Switch and PC, and when the 1.6 update finally drops on consoles, I'm going back to playing on the switch lol (got my first ever 100% file that im very proud of, ugly farm though with barely any optimisation but still), im not a mod person at all, don't like them and never will (unless i get really bored and change my mind in the future)

This Robin bashing borders on hilarious. What's so wrong with promoting your own business? And she even writes you later to apologize for some of her character flaws, making her a pretty decent dynamic character, unlike some of the other relatively flat characters out there.

Doesn’t she bundle a sale attempt in with that apology? The letter mentioning the well, if I’m not mistaken. Time and a place, my building building buddy.

We might need a separate thread, on your Robin observations, if you want to keep going, K.J, as we’ve probably derailed this one enough as is (somebody feel free to put me in my place, if I’m way off the mark here), but I don’t think you’re entirely wrong.

I agree Marnie deserves love…maybe from Marlon or the player…but certainly someone better than Lewis who is emotionally abusive to her. Hiding his status with her publically to better HIS status as mayor….yada yada yada…all the signs for abuse are there and he’s using her desperation to feel loved and accepted for one thing and thing only.

Robins got a ‘tude’ for sure and is downright too frankly crude or mean maybe at times….but I wouldn’t go so far as a witch…though I wish we saw her positively interact more with Sebastian as she’s all he got!

Btw: you didn’t know, but please don’t say you have a condition you don’t really have or understand even. I know it’s mistake we all make, and I used to make before I knew better cause it can really hurt those who truly suffer from those conditions. You may very well have PTSD, but video game withdrawal is not PTSD. It might be hard and if you had a true addiction to video games then it is a real thing but not PTSD. Not mad at you just a heads up for posting more thoughtfully in the future. We all need the love and kindness spread to us who truly have whatever we have.
