What its like to get married to Shane/Sebastian?

lowkey need help hehe!

 I'm still in my first year, and I can’t decide which bachelor to marry! I really love how Sebastian is that low-key hardworking guy — the kind who stays quiet but has so much depth. But at the same time, I’m so drawn to Shane’s character development. Watching him slowly open up and grow as a person hits hard. I honestly don’t know who to choose!

From what I know:
Shane
  • likes to help in the farm
  • cooks you breakfast
  • but still got a messy room
Sebastian
  • cute room
  • does not help in the farm (?)

I'm not familiar w the rest. Please help me decide! :wchicken:

All spouses help on the farm infrequently, and all of them give you gifts (which happens when you talk to them the first time, so it might look like they’re making you breakfast. But you’d get thesame fish talking to them at night.). Gifts vary by spouse but are all in the same range.

There are no real benefits to one spouse, go with who you like best (or whose room you like best).

I haven't married Sebastian but I have married Shane. When you marry Shane, he is obviously still depressed and occasionally references drinking. He does have good and happy days too! But it's clear that progress isn't linear and he's never 100% better. I did enjoy marrying him and I absolutely love when he's on the spouse porch with his chicken, but if the main thing you like about him is that he gets better, you might not enjoy the day to day where you see that he's not as "better" as he seemed before marriage

I've always been more partial to Shane. I like how he tries despite how hard everything is in his life. I also think he's just kinda funny in comparison with Jas, his goddaughter.

Like, here is this little girl, who is adorable, and secretly feeds the cows on her farm crawdads. :jas:

And here is her drunk godfather, who is, despite popular belief, trying his best. :shane:

My opinion is that you give Shane too much credit. If he was really trying his best he wouldn't be getting drunk every day.
He has the choice and he chooses to drink beer every day.

My trouble with Shane is that he seems to go through a redemption process but he doesn't actually change his ways.

Not just the drinking, but he still just complains about how bad his life is.
