What If Trees in Stardew Valley Kept Growing Over Time?

I was looking through my apartment window when I realised "Wait, trees in Stardew Valley just stop growing. What if they would keep growing slowly?".
So my idea is, what if trees would get bigger after a while, maybe only on farm. Let's say after two whole seasons a tree (if not chopped down, ofc) would grow a bit more and because of it, it's tree sap / syrup would be producing faster or the more they grow let's say after a whole year they would produce more sap / syrup and at the same speed. And the bigger the trees got the more wood you'll get ofc. But I guess they just couldn't grow into infinity, maybe they'll stop growing after 2 years or just grow slower.
This is just something I randomly came up with, do you guys think it would be useful?

I don't know how the sprite work will be for that. Some trees can grow GIGANTIC IRL I see a tree frequently that's like what fifty feet and incredibly thick. Optimisation is gonna be hell if players dedicated there entire farm to said trees let's say. Also then you need to have more upgrades for the axe since yeah big trees need better axes. It be cool tho.

Hmm well let's work within what we already see around the Valley:

I see a very nice larger tree here near the tunnel entrance and I really want this one on my farm, along with a Pine and Maple variant (assuming this is an Oak). But what else?

This looks like a more mature Mahogany tree, large enough to contain a Treehouse which would allow various species of local birds to live on the farm. I even see one of these birds at various social events so this is a 100% positive!

Are there downsides?

Well there's the problem of detritus of all those older felled frees littering up the place and ain't nobody got the Energy to mess with that. At least in early game. And midgame you really don't have the time as you got lots of things to do other than clean up your Farm, like sleeping in the shade next to the river Fishing. Mmmm totally Fishing, always super busy with that. Yeah and in late game really is anyone not completely lazy lacking all motivation to chop down their managed forests and now you're gonna give me a tree that takes 10 chops with an Iridium Axe? I had to sit down for a breather just typing this.

But then trees can get even bigger and while that does provide respite for local businesswomen to set up shop beneath their shady boughs and encourage smaller trees to grow between the sunny patches of filtered light below the protective canopy, it's unlikely there's any axe worthy of felling one. Leaving us at the mercy of Mother Nature (of if lucky, the obviously imminent collapse of the Wizard's rickety rocky rubble-pile of a tower) to knock down these largest of trees.

Buuut that leads to:

Overly fecund neighbors moving in, with their loud parties disturbing my 7:30pm naptime before bed and

Being perpetually out of like half the house staples and always needing to borrow something. 5 White Algae? Do I look like a Universal Pictures horror monster from the 1950s??

Hard agree, really nice way to integrate getting some of those large trees on the farm too, I love the basic ones but imagine a giant pine/oak/maple that would be so much fun
