1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Local Legend
Didn't get any new outfits at the Desert Festival. The traveling merchant sold 5 rare seeds two of the days, which was nice, and I made sure to get enough calico eggs to buy strawberry seeds for next year. Replaced a bunch more of the mushroom logs with crystalariums, and work on putting them in a deconstructor. Some of the recovered hardwood has become treasure totems.

Saw that Mr. Qi has an Extended Family quest for me, so I think I'll skip the Flower Dance and go fishing instead.

It's not my first time playing Stardew Valley. I've lost a Year 5 save on my old phone, but I still have a Year 6 save on my Nintendo, a Year 3 co-op farm with my best friend, and a Year 7 save on Steam.

Even though, I'm excited to start a new save today. Which farm should I choose?

Which farms have you done, and what did you like or dislike about each? I'd give a different answer if you hate weirdly shaped corners vs if you like more forage or better rocks, and if you want animals, or if you hate fishing up trash and nothing else.

And of course waaay more suggestions if you are modding, but I'm assuming vanilla.

(Yesterday, and after a long player hiatus in another game)

Following the Trout Derby, Rowan had a quiet day just catching up and puttering on the farm, then two rainy days: one, they went down into the mines and reached level 115, and repaired another elevator. No bouts of unconsciousness this time, though they fought several bats, a few slimes, and some to the brutes and magical things. it was astonishing what remembering to drink a potion or eat some food could do.

On the other day they fished for the fish that only came out in the rain, but only one red snapper in all the sea.

This close to the end of the season, the garden was starting to look ragged again in corners, as they didn't refill anything they'd picked. Okay, they planted one sunflower, since it would go into fall, but they were surprisingly short on sunflower seeds, and wildflower seeds couldn't be trusted to produce those. But they finally had the last wheat they needed for the community centre (having very little inclination to grow huge crops of that ilk, and not having a mill until very recently, they'd only grown wheat that popped up from wild seeds in both their first year and so far in the second.)

Two more days before they ventured back into town, and three for the moonlight Jellies, still the only actual one-day village extravaganza festival they ever attended.

And they were two more mugs into having the full glaze-rainbow. Stoneware didn't colour as bright and true as porcelain, but it gave a realistic idea what to expect for everything other than mugs. So for now, this batch were for samples, not for sale.
