1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Anlei has been building and reorganizing like a mad construction fool. Two more big sheds, four more fish ponds (I caught 14 Legend II during the last extended family quest ... smoked some, but kept plenty for ponds), and a lot more machines.

She switched to the Coopmaster profession while transitioning the chicken coop to golden chickens (3 golden and counting), then will switch back to Shepherd for the mass wool production. Bought 10 more pigs on Winter 18 (which I *think* has them maturing just in time for spring?) for a full pig barn.

Also, decided to change the enchant on the fishing rod from preserving to auto-hook; I usually much prefer the former over the latter, but I've been doing a LOT of fishing looking for animal crackers, and anything to make it less tedious is a plus (that and I have plenty of bait and tackles). Unfortunately I didn't get any crackers in the past several days of fishing . I still need lots for the animals and three more for fish ponds...

The thing that usually triggers it for me is returning to a saved game. And then there are the emergency saves. Buy a mermaid pendant, end the task. Reload from the emergency save - you have the pendant, but Ancient Mariner will sell it to you again.

I play on PC and I've seen NPCs in weird places before. I think it's usually when I cheat to mess with the world time

So Buddy could have had Krobus as a roommate but proposed to Leah instead.

I like Leah because marriage to the farmer does not destroy her career/goals.

When I looked at Krobus on the WIKI, the thing that killed it was that the store in the sewer becomes a chest/honesty box kinda thing. Him stopping tending the store was more than I could take on the career destruction spectrum.

Catching up on posts after a few days away...

Nothing much happening in my game. It's winter, so there isn't much to do - but at least I have all my animals happy and I'm making money selling animal products. I'm around 4 million now, and I am not specifically going for the clock. I really don't have much of a plan. I do want all the catalogs and then I want to decorate the farm and the GI hut.

I'm now on my second week of winter. The week of the Night Market.

Monday I checked out the quests. Caroline wants 100 pineapples in 14 days. I have 48 plants and I held off harvesting because I didn't need the fruits and I was hoping for this quest to make some extra money out of them.
Mr Qi didn't offer anything interesting. I went back to town to do some fishing. Found a cracker in an artifact spot which I'll be keeping for future farm animals. I visited the night market to buy a painting called "Red Eagle" and did more fishing.

I'm now trying to collect all Lupini paintings. So on Tuesday I bought Portrait of a Mermaid as well. I managed to process all of my animal products. Pierre called at midnight to advertise his seed collection - in winter. Jerk.

After 8 in game years, having achieved perfection quite some time ago, I realised "the summit" is an actual place... that I can go to... to get the achievement. I am a fool. Also new headcannon, Qi used to be our grandmother, but he transitioned after becoming blue due to the death of his husband, this is the reason for his interest in the player, he's very autistic, so he doesn't really know how to connect with his grandchild now that he's a blue man, because he's scared we won't accept him, so that's why he sends us on a bunch of random quests. Both to forfill his husbands last wishes, and also to watch us grow as people, and test the strength of our character.. he may be a blue man now, but in our hearts, he'll always be our beloved blue gran gran..

This was all brought on by the cut scene where him and granpa dance around and tell us they're proud of us

Another cycle of wine done on Ginger Island. A bunch more mushroom logs got replaced by crystalariums. I really should put the mushroom logs in the deconstructor, but haven't got around to it yet. And I should make tree fertilizer and spread around the quarry. As always... so much to do, so little time each day to do it in.
