1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Monday I went to Ginger Island. I picked up a Qi's Kindness quest, found a walnut in a barrel in the volcano and harvested my fruit trees. I decided to stay for the night, and went to the Pirate's Cove to win three walnuts at darts. Only took me four tries. I like that mini-game.
The next morning I picked more fruit, and now I have enough bananas to get my obelisk. I will need to smelt the iridium bars, though. I forgot about those.

I ran around town giving presents , managed to get 24 gifts distributed on the first day. Also got Leo's last cut scene.
The quests on the board were to fish for tilapia, and to ship 100 melons to Zuzu city in the next 3 weeks.

I wanted to visit the book seller, but I couldn't because I didn't have either my sword or any of the scythes on me, and the way was blocked by weeds. It was a bit too late to do anything about it. I'm in no hurry, I only need three more books - the Horse book and the two Way of the Wind books. They're always there.

The next day was another gifting day. I got up to 48 before it was too late to find anyone. Made some more iridium bars.

Thursday was the Luau, which was annoying, as I wanted to get my obelisk and get those last two gifts out of the way. Instead, I talked to Leo, added my red cabbage to the soup and told Lewis to get started with the tasting already. It was, of course, out of this world... I hadn't expected anything else.

Friday I gifted Wizard a void essence and built the Island Obelisk. Then I gifted Vincent a grape, picked up the melon quest after all, bought 84 melon seeds.
I went to Ginger Island with my new Qi-gems. I traded some of my spare walnuts for more Qi gems, bought 4 pressure nozzles and the recipe for blue grass.
I then planted 48 melon seeds on Ginger Island and used the sprinkler that was in the pineapple patch (with pressure nozzle) to water them.

Went back to my farm, harvested my red cabbages and planted another 24 melons. I have a total of 96 melons growing now.

I was about 6,000 XP short of my last Mastery on Saturday, so I spent most of the day gathering hardwood and stone. I passed out on the way back to the farm. Did the same on Sunday, without the passing out. I am now about 3,000 XP short.

The next Monday Robin's quest was for 1,000 stone, and Mr Qi had an "Extended Family" on the board. I decided to do the fishing first. It took the entire day, but I got all of the extended family fish.
I ran to the secret woods to get more hardwood, then went to my farm to fill my machines (it was too late to pet the animals) and harvest the ancient fruit in the greenhouse.
I have now reached a new level of understanding.

On Tuesday I woke up with the "Monoculture" achievement. Must have been the corn. First thing I did, of course, was to claim my Mining Mastery.
I built a large furnace and started processing my ores. Starting with iridium, because I still need a ton of iridium for the other obelisks, the desert trader's warp totem recipe, and of course upgrading the rest of my tools.
I went to Ginger Island and made a small start on Robin's quest by going into the mines looking for stone and more cinder shards. I fell asleep in the mines.

On Wednesday I woke up to a pineapple harvest and a note from Leo about the parrots dragging me home. I harvested the pineapples and actually planted some more, even though I am still using the sprinkler for the melons.
I spent some time on the home farm, planting mostly wheat and radishes in the empty spaces now. I made sure to ship one pineapple.

The next day I got my Full Shipping achievement, and a notification that the Bookseller was in town. I went to the mines first, picked up another 500 or so stones for Robin's quest, and then went to the bookseller for the last books.

On Friday the tv told me it was going to rain, but of course Clint wasn't there, which was annoying. I went into the mines a bit more, found a few more radioactive ores and enough stones to get Robin's quest completed.

The weekend was rainy, and it was the weekend of the Trout Derby. I managed to catch enough trout to actually get two new sprinklers (and crab pots, diamonds and mystery boxes, among other things).
On Sunday I took my axe to Clint.

Fall has begun! 🍂
I started preparing my farm for fall by tilling the fields and clearing away weeds.
While I was tilling the soil, my character suddenly started sliding like Michael Jackson! I didn’t know my character could moonwalk! 😂

After that, I harvested my first bananas from the greenhouse! They look like little crescents, so I think they’re really cute. ✨🌙
I also accidentally ate a Void Egg. I have apparently become an alien… 👽
