It's because I'm greedy that I do the racoon quests. Upgrading the racoon store to its maximum gives the easiest (and posssibly cheapest) access to magic rock candy, which means more profitable Skull Cavern runs. You're not doing it because you're lazy and can't see much of an immediate benefit. I rarely have so many prismatic shards that I can contemplate trading them with the desert merchant and she only has one for trade every week. On the other hand, after I get the Foraging mastery I often can't be bothered to crack open the mystic boxes, since most of the contents are not worth it. Being able to trade mystic boxes for golden mystic boxes that have a better chance to give good items alone is worth it, and then being able to trade further for magic rock candy that isn't limited in how many one can trade at a time can be even better.
Yeah I am lazy lmfaoo.

Completed the Community Center with a rabbit's paw dropped by a Serpent a week into Spring year 2. My own rabbit didn't manage to drop one in time. Oh well, when it does, it will probably be used to get the lucky charm. Have had quite a bunch of events following that, since more than a few people were just short of having events, and not just the singles. Then of course there's the one with the boat, and the start of the magic ink quest.

Fished up the Legend the day afterwards, the first rainy day this year (so, no waiting time to have access to the Missing bundle) then spent the rest of that day chopping down trees for Robins Resource Rush. A treasure chest a bit earlier on that fishing trip had an iridium band as one of its five treasures. Glowstone ring went straight into a chest, as catching that treasure chest left me with no space in the backpack.

Handed Leah the bouquet and have been trying to keep up with seeing her, knowing I have to talk to her at least every other day to keep her heart level up.

What I go for is the biggest bar size I can get and trap bobber to reduce the damage when he goes outside the bar.
I used an iridium rod with deluxe bait and trap bobber, then ate a Dish O' The Sea. Past that, it's mostly just trying to follow or anticipate his movements and hoping he won't be a complete yo-yo. If I'd had the advanced iridium rod, I'd have paired the trap bobber with a cork bobber, because increased bar size.

I think I got fishing mastery but I didn't get it yet so hopefully I can stuff it with a cork bobber and trap bobber and deluxe bait

Had some luck during the Desert Festival and encountered 3 prehistoric floors, netting me two dino eggs and a fair amount of pepper rex kills. First egg had already gone into the incubator when I found the second. My eyes lit up at not having to wait almost 3 weeks for my little dino to lay her first egg. Also got the 5 iridium bars I needed for the boat anchor from two treasure rooms and a monster. Boat has been fixed, but has yet to see use.

Danced with Leah during the Flower Dance. It brought her to where I could buy the mermaid pendant on the next rainy day. I'm putting off on asking the question until after her 10 heart event. Have been a bit too busy with other things to be able to trigger it. House got upgraded 3 times during Spring, so everything's set. Oh... Maybe I should get a second chair for the kitchen table.

Picked Foraging for my first mastery, again, and had enough tree seeds to make 12 mystic tree seeds the same day. Replaced the maples and some of the spruce in my mushroom log grove. The first few have already grown and been fitted with tappers. Looking forward to the green rain tomorrow, and the big moss harvest. Kind of annoys me that I shouldn't use those for mushroom logs, but I want to be able to make the statue of blessings without having to wait overly long to have enough moss when I get the mastery that has it.

I found a dinosaur egg once but didn't have a incubator for it. Are dinos really worth it?

You'll need the Big or Deluxe Coop, it comes with an Incubator. Is it worth it? Depends on, I would say. If you have the Artisan Profession, you sell the Dino Mayo for good money. If not, but you have red the Treasure Appraisal Guide, you sell the Eggs for good money. But you get only one Egg per week and dino.

You can get by without one. You just need to find more than one egg. You need one for the museum, one for a dino mayonnaise for the shipping list, and... Oh, yeah, you went the Joja route. Then you don't need one for the Missing bundle.

Dinos aren't hugely profitable. They lay eggs just once a week. Without the Treasure Appraisal Guide, they're best turned into mayonnaise. With it, most of the quality eggs will be better sold as is.

Farmer Bobbi designed a jungle theme in part of the Farmhouse and the only Fish Tanks in there are the new Raccoon ones. She wishes they were just a bit clearer though as they'd make perfect frog tanks but it's kinda hard to see them froggies inside with the glass already being greenish.

I will never understand why the jungle tank looks clear with rich greens and black background when viewing in inventory or even holding before placement, then you place it and boom… mucky green haze. It’s my only gripe about the entire game pretty much, ha. Btw your tank rooms look amaaaazing

Picked Farming for my second mastery, and crafted the Statue of Blessings. Now I can craft mushroom logs again without having to make sure I leave enough moss in the chest. Looking forward to finding golden animal crackers.

Started making the items for the fourth Racoon request.

I already have a deluxe coop but that's strictly for rabbits. Idk if a entire separate setup for dinosaurs is worth it.

A egg a week is awful lmfaoo.

The ostrich also gives just one egg a week. Though that turns into more mayonnaise than you can get from all the eggs a chicken can lay in a week. Dinos and ostriches are awful for Gus' special order to get 24 eggs in 2 weeks (though it would be fun to see an omelet made from 24 ostrich eggs irl). Though when it comes to value the dino is somewhat comparative to a chicken, so not all that awful.

1 base quality dino egg without Treasure Appraisal Guide = 7 small chicken eggs of base quality (went with small eggs to make it lowest value to lowest value)
1 dino egg after reading Treasure Appraisal Guide = 11 large chicken eggs of equal quality to the dino egg.
Though if you make mayonnaise of the eggs, the dino can't compete with the chicken.

Some good things are that you can hoard the dino eggs until you get the book, and there's no need to feed the eggs into a mayonnaise maker more than once or twice so it's less work.
