1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Picked up the Qi fruit quest at the beginning of Spring. Let's see if I make it. I may have taken too much time out to participate in festivals to succeed, but I've got a week left and about 350 fruits to ship, with 7 iridium sprinklers' worth growing, some of it on quality speed-gro, cutting a day from the growth cycle.

Built the last obelisk on the farm (apart from the mini obelisks), got the final artifact for the museum, and shipped the last few items. I guess it's time to turn my focus to the remaining fish, and seeing what's left to get the polyculture and monoculture achievements.

Did get a fair few mummies and serpents during the desert festival, but not enough to reach the goal for either.

Sebastian said we should get a slime hutch and hatch a bunch of slimes. I'm vetoing it. Riverland is a bit short on space. First child is a toddler, but so far no request of getting a second child.
Second child is not neccesary! Spoil the first one lol.

I know it's not necessary. The first one got the golden helmet on becoming a toddler. Keeps her a bit safer when careening about the house. The second would get the star helmet if he got to toddler stage before I reach perfection, but as the days go by it seems more and more unlikely it will happen. Not much more that can be done to spoil them, apart from putting down a few stuffed animals and talking to them every day.

I personally think this logic applies to real life very well lol. Parents can focus on one child better and also allocate funds more than to neglect multiple children. Stardew sucks when it comes to children tho.

Most farming games are poor at handling child growth and tend to end up freezing time/development for them at one point or another. Exceptions do exist, like Harvest Moon: A wonderful life, but they are rare.

This is why I use Little npcs... Or I should say why I'm trying it out XD all my husbands and not one child yet!

It was going to be my first time displaying something. (I've never decorated anything in 54 years.) My plan was to show all 378 Combined Rings on 1 screen on my Ginger Island Farm. But apparently you can't put Rings on tables :/
I already completely destroyed my Ginger Island Farm. Ha, oh wells ^.^

I never thought in my 19 years of living I’d have gamer rage. But this was the day I was absolutely LIVID. And im not an easily angered person xD
I have gamer rage too and lmaoo triggers are so different for everyone. I'm a big fan of GTA VC and I have completed the game numerous times. (Recently completed it again.)But I still rage when I can't beat Keep Your Friends Close on the first try lol. I won't ever get enraged by a Feast of The Winter Star gift tho. (My first feast has Shane as my gifter AND YOU KNOW I HATE SHANE.)

I thought it might be nice to have a place where people can report on their farm's goings-on and the adventures of their farmer, kind of like this thread at The Sims forums. I'll kick things off!

I am still very new to the game and in mid-summer of my second year at Peacefield Farm. In the first year, I was able to learn the basics of the game, and start becoming marginally successful: by the end I was selling honey, mayonnaise, maple syrup, and jams in addition to regular crops. I also used the winter to (mostly) change my fields to be oriented around sprinklers. My goals for year two were multiple: one, get to the bottom of the mines (I'd gone from 1 to 105 in winter alone): two, expand the house; three, build more farm infrastructure like a stable, a barn, and a silo; and four, tackle the overgrowth on my little islands and expand my fields. As of this morning (Summer 15) things are going well on those fronts! I got to the bottom of the mines almost immediately, and have built a barn and filled it with four cows. I also just expanded the house, so now I can start crafting food! I had a bunch of rain days in the early summer, so I used those to attack the big island and have created a larger field there. I'm also using the little strip of land just north of the road that goes to Marnie's as an orchard. My immediate plan is to explore cooking. Farmwise, my plans are to get a silo so I don't have to plant so much wheat or buy hay from Marnie; expand the coop so I can get duck eggs; continue harvesting hardwood for a stable; and continue expanding on the second island. I want the silo first because there's a lot of grass on the big island that I don't want to waste.
Love this idea farm journals are always fun to follow especially as the seasons roll on.
You have made impressive progress for year two already looking forward to seeing how Peace field Farm grows!

You might need to read through most of the thread to find out, seeing as the post you responded to was made in 2023.

Cleared the Qi Fruit quest by the smallest margin so far, for me anyway. On the 28th of Spring, I had only 11 fruits ready for harvest. Luckily I needed just 7. Have also picked and cleared my first Extended Family quest. Currently I'm working on another round of Danger in the Deep, as it seemed a bit better than the Hungry Skull Cavern quest. If it had been the Dangerous Skull Cavern, I'd have leaped onto that, but the hungry version is a bit "meh" in comparison even if I do need to kill more serpents and pepper rex. This time through the dangerous mines I've upgraded my galaxy sword to infinity sword, which makes things a bit easier.

The octopus is the last fish to catch in this save, as seems is usually the case. Been intending to go fishing early morning for a while, but it's hard to break the routine of doing the farm chores first. Especially at the moment as I rush over to the mines as soon as the chores are done, and sometimes before that, as I realized I hadn't dropped off the dried mushrooms at the shipping bin, and now they're still in the chest by the mine elevator. Maybe after I reach the bottom I'll be able to fight the urge to do the chores first...

Have upped my amount of dehydrators to 30, but now I feel like I might need to increase the amount of mushroom logs again. Getting closer to filling up the preservation jar shed too. The keg shed is full, but I don't remember if the cellar was full of casks or not. Haven't been down there since winter. It's probably only half full.

I think you didn't just smash your previous high score, you smashed it hard enough to send it into orbit.

Last week of Summer started and the season was a busy one so far. But I somehow managed to find enough Qi Beans, grow the 500 Qi fruits and ship them in time 💪 And got a giant melon crop before that, the second time in this game so far 🙂 Now the fields are free to grow wheat again to get enough hay for winter. My Ostrich hetched and the first egg she produced went in the Incubator for breeding another. Maybe getting more Ostrich eggs could reduce the chickens in the long run and I can replace some of them with Dinos.

Giant melons look so cute.
