Neither of the two saves I've brought to perfection has a stable. I see it more as an optional extra that I never seem to get around to get. Though I guess I would get it if I was ever going for Haley, since she's the only single who asks if I've got a horse yet, even if there's no way to answer her.

Between unlocking the mining carts and growing coffee early in the game, finding/receiving plenty of totems mid game, and building some obelisks and buying the shortcuts in late game, I never really end up using the horse. Even the farm where I deliberately bought the stable early, I rarely used it. I'd be leaving from a different exit and didn't think it was worth doubling back for it, or going somewhere where I wasn't sure it would fit. I've never bothered getting the horse flute.

Today I started a new save file on "Choco Farm"!

It's spring Y3 now and while strolling around Cindersap Forest at 17 of Spring I found the Leprechaun Hat and a Pot of gold at the end of a little Rainbow near the Hat Mouse, quite a surprise... Also I gathered the 12 leeks for George, so I get the Coffeemaker soon 
. And I danced the Flower Dance with Harvey, so all the boys are high-hearted enough for giving them a Bouquet now... It's time for playing Pool together, guys

Today, I had an arduous time in the mines, and made my way back to my farm shortly after 1am, where I was promptly attacked by a Serpent (I allowed farm monsters when I created my character. Because merely having 25% profits isn't challenging enough, I guess). That's fine. I coulda shoulda woulda ate some of my food, but I thought, "I'm not gonna waste a PIECE of FOOD just for this FARM SERPENT. I lost 1000g and 3 items. Whatever.
So i woke up in Harvey's clinic and noticed the time, so I immediately used one of my few Farm Totems to warp me directly into the Farm Serpent's Jaws of Death... costing me 1000g and 3 items.

Cleared the field on my beach farm that can use sprinklers, reached Summer, and restored the mine carts. Currently I'm in the process of making the quality sprinklers I need. I want to upgrade my pickaxe, but I want to make the sprinklers first, or I'll spend most of each day watering, apart from when it's raining. The first thing that got planted on the sprinkler field was the coffee bean I got towards the end of Spring, watered by the first kind of sprinkler. Quickly replanted the first harvest of coffee beans, but I think it'll be a good idea to speed up their growth a bit.

Robin finished my next 2 Fish Ponds. I satisfied the Trash Bear, so the Town is cleaned up and Dusty has a Palace now (wish, Alex would recognize it anyway) . Also gave a Bouquet to all Bachelors and fulfilled the missing Bundle, so I can take the guys to the movie theatre now

Had the worst luck on the first day of the Trout Derby, according to the TV. And somewhat true too. On my 10th rainbow trout I got my first golden tag. Though I did have some luck too, in that I caught a dorado. Had better luck the second day, with the spirits being merely annoyed. *checks prize list* Seems like I managed to get all the possible prizes. Good. That means I can ignore the derby next year. I've no wish to have a second mounted trout, and while the quality sprinkler was nice to get now, it will be obsolete next year.
The traveling merchant also had a nice surprise on day 2 of the derby, selling 5 rare seeds instead of just 1. Now all of them belong to my farmer.
1 for Master Cannoli, 1 for a CC bundle, and the best 3 for the shipping bin.
