1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

I've always considered myself a writer, I could probably make a good book if I sat down for long enough. Unfortunately, the praise I've received over the years for creativity and just generally being good... doesn't exactly translate to creativity elsewhere. You know my Magnum Opus? My Minecraft version of the Memphis bass pro shops pyramid. It's not even complete, and it's not that creative. I assume that somewhere deep in my mind, there's something that gives my creativity in writing, but not in the other fields. Either way, best I can do in SV is spamming book piles from the wizard catalogue.

Today I *almost* completed my weapons collection. Going to the volcano dungeon almost daily for two years and getting let down by the chests is finally over. The last 3 I needed were all from rare chests (dragon tooth shiv, club, and sword).

ONE weapon left - Haley’s Iron… because somehow in 20 years she hasn’t set up shop at the desert festival once.

Well, I had other weapons and things to find and do to focus on. But now, I have pretty much just Haley’s iron and the arcade game reward items…. And very little patience left. I can’t give up now though, not this close, not yet at least….! (Ask me in a couple weeks and I might haha).

I’m pretty sure Harvey had to scrape me off the slime hutch floor at least once. Fencing, weapon, and food are necessary if you don’t have a Slime Charmer ring.

Had to crowd-control them, reduce numbers to let more slimes hatch, and uhh... it wasn't good.

I gave in... I dropped 500 000 on the joja parrot. Will be doing this for perfection, too, but mainly for the boring stuff, like cooking and grinding for the gold clock.

Scored another Giant Cauliflower that I think I'll keep this time.

Abby is getting plenty of practice in the dangerous mines. If only she could join me in them and we could tag team against everything, except for the spiders, I'm sure.

And with this, I think I have pictures of every possible festival that the whole family attends all at once. The kids never go to the Luau for some reason.

Next, a sharp turnaround for Robin who was once afraid of the Green Rain, now is willing to see her favorite movie during it.

I achieved perfection for my first time ever, on Spring 22, Year 4. Admittedly, I've had a bunch of saves before this one, as I have a serious tendency to start over if I realize I could've done better if I'd made other choices, even in a game like this where just about any choice or missed opportunity can be remedied with a bit of time and/or resources. My previous save got abandoned in early summer year 4, at about 69% on the perfection tracker. Both of those were with the Meadowlands map.

Now to start a new save and try with some other farm map. Suggestions welcome.

Honestly, any farm other than standard or four corners. They impose limitations, but all have special advantages.
