What do i do with the mushroom tree?

What do i do with that mushroom thing? I want to clear that space out, but is it something special or can i just get rid of it?

Sorry if something about this is common knowledge but i'm still discovering sdv a bit

You can put a tapper on it for some mushrooms, but apart from that and having a rare drop, it's just looks pretty, so if you don't need it you can get rid of it. If you ever need one later you can get seeds (or just hope for one to spawn again)

It's a relatively rare item so many people will keep it and work around it. However it spreads lie a normal tree by generating seeds around it's base so you can clear out the space around it, wait for some seeds to drop (they look like little gray pyramids) and then dig a few up so you can grow other Mushroom Trees anywhere you want. You can chop it down then if it's in the way of big farm plans.

But butbut the super big real reason to have Mushroom Trees other than they're totally cool to look at is there's a low chance for the

Mushroom Cap to drop when you chop one down! I'm currently chopping and replanting Mushroom Seeds in an attempt to get one. I will have the hatttt!

If you do keep tapped mushroom trees, note that mushroom stumps nearby should produce more mushrooms, but they don't give you higher spawn rates for any particular mushroom, so you mostly get a lot of common mushrooms.

If you don't like where it is and want it gone ASAP, I think the mushroom tree seeds don't cost many Qi gems, once you have unlocked the walnut room. So you can always buy one seed later to restart your mushroom patch.

Beyond the actually useful suggestions others have already mentioned, if you leave it be and clear some of the areas around it you can have a mushroom forest which is pretty fun-gi

I just have them on the farm becuase they are pretty :) I've put tappers on them for mushrooms but mushroom logs give you more mushrooms.

You can use it as a decorative feature or occasionally for gathering rare drops and mushrooms, but beyond that, it doesn’t serve much purpose. If you’re short on space, it’s fine to remove it you can always plant new seeds or wait for another one to appear later.
