I do adore my golden chickens, otherwise probably ostriches! They were such a novelty when 1.5 came out and being a longtime player that honestly still hasn't worn off, I often just get a barn or two of them alone and let them wander around

I have a barn devoted to twelve healthy adult pigs and you should hear the racket they make every morning when I run around petting them. They are adorable.

I admit part of me does want a carnivore mod where pigs can become bacon, pork chops, and ham, cows can become steak, and chickens can be used in a chicken pot pie recipe.

But I respect that CA chose not to go that route. Realism does not always trump gameplay, especially when half the point of the game is the dream of a simpler life, less constrained by reality.

Honorable mention to the Ostrich and Horse because on my Beach Farm I created an Ostrich Racetrack, but for some reason you can't ride Ostriches?? I know, really! I mean why have an Ostrich if you can't ride it? Meh, disappointment whatever. I have the next best thing:

Totally an Ostrich. It's just theee uh... Tasmanian 4-Legged Beige Ostrich, very famous racing variety, well known amongst the competitive Ostrich community.

Chickens for the variety. For the variety of colors of Chickens and the variety of types of eggs. If I am unable to lump all Chickens together then I would go with the Rabbit for the Rabbits feet. They make great gifts.
