PC Weeds destroying seed maker

Woke up in the morning and got the "Weeds have caused damage on your farm" message, so I went around my whole farm checking all the paths and fences but couldn't find any damage. I thought I had just missed the damaged tile, but then I saw that my seed maker had been destroyed by a weed. I know in the attached file the weed is gone because I quickly whacked it, but there was one there. According to the wiki, weeds should only be able to destroy floor or paths, but a seed maker is definitely neither of those.

Have you tried placing your seed maker indoors? Weeds can indeed harm machines, you're right though it is not very clear on the wiki page, referring only to paths. There is shed that can be built from carpenter's shop to help keep your machines safe from lightning and weeds if that helps. I learned this one myself semi-recently before I added one of those... d'oh!

This info should be on the wiki maybe... I'd add it there it I'm not 100% certain what items that can be destroyed, and I don't want to put incorrect info, so i've left a message on the talk page for "Weeds" to ask if the following is correct enough to add:

May be incorrect: "Weeds can damage paths, crops and placable items such as machines, but it cannot damage chests, fences, or buildings.
