Update Suggestions (incl. Console)

First of all, thank you for all the love and care you continue to put into Stardew Valley especially for players on console who don’t have access to mods.

One thing I’d personally love to see in vanilla Stardew someday (including on PS5 and Xbox) is expanded family and child features. It would be amazing if NPCs could occasionally visit the farm to make the world feel even more alive and connected. I’d also really love the option for more children, along with children growing beyond the toddler stage (like Jas & Vincent) It would make them feel more involved in the world and give family life a little more depth over longer playthroughs.

Another feature that could be really fun would be partial child customisation so they resemble their parents more closely, perhaps with a gold option later on to recustomise them if players divorce or simply want to refresh their save over time. A lot of these features exist through mods on PC, but console players unfortunately miss out on experiences like expanded families or multiple children mods, so it would be wonderful to someday see similar ideas included in the base game.

I’d also like to suggest things like some deeper community-focused additions in the future. One small thing that would make the world feel even more personal would be giving the farmer their own birthday on the calendar /even something simple like a yearly cutscene at the saloon where the villagers celebrate together would feel incredibly special and rewarding after building relationships with everyone. Helping repair, expand, or improve parts of the town over the years would add such a satisfying sense of growth and community progression to late-game saves. Helping Pam felt so rewarding and I’d like to continue to do more work in the town.

Thank you again if you find the time to read any of that as it’s totally LONG WINDED but it’s so appreciated. This game already has a million things to offer and the experience is unmatched. One hundo. Thank you Eric!
