Unofficial mod updates

If you're interested, I've been playing with version 3 for a while, and lucikiel works with no issues in my game...so I think in the meantime you can keep playing with him :)

While the Lucikiel mod is fine, I'm more worried about the Lavril mod since it's basically a part of East Scarp, along with some of the NPCs in them. I only added the Lucikiel mod because it also interacts with the Lavril mod as well. Normally I would wait for the original author to update, but most of the comments in the latter mod said that the author is no longer active in regards to mods.

I’m still searching for an update for Teh's Fishing Overhaul.
There was an unofficial 1.6 update, but unfortunately it hasn’t been continued, and it seems to need some fixes. If I read the changelogs correctly, some instances just need to be updated to the newer version because they use outdated references. The original mod author was no longer interested in continuing to mod for Stardew, so the mod was abandoned, but he allowed customization of his code, so there shouldn’t be any issue with that.

hii!!! would anypony be willing and able to make the Kent Marriage Mod by Ballshorse compatible with polysweet ? theres a few bug reports abt it comflicting w polysweet and i Cannot be divorcing my beloved Sterling for a soldier.,,.,,...,...,. would rly appreciate it if someone could make it compatible !! \(^_^)/

Has anyone unofficially updated these mods? I really wanted them for a multiplayer playthrough with my friend where we're playing specific characters. I went through and couldn't see any on their posts page on nexus.

IDK why people do this. Sure you may not want people to share your content without permission BUT if your abandoning something why the possessiveness?

I think they only do that during the time that they are active with the game. They don't want others to take credit for their work, which is completely understandable. It is morally wrong to do so. If the author has abandoned it then they likely have no further interest in the game or even care about it anymore, and some of them aren't going to see any request for permission to update it either. I think there should be a time limit on that rule, especially if the person who updates it has made an attempt to contact the author and hasn't gotten a response, keeps the original author's name on it and lists it as an unofficial update. (i.e. "Yellog's Dark Wood and Cream Furniture unofficial update")

Definitely. I mean if the mod author isn't active and there not responding to any requests it make sense if it expired after a couple of years.
