Unlocking Missed Achievements

I tried using the 2 methods in the post about either editing the save file or using the debug achieve SMAPI command but the first one just corrupted the file (I made a backup so no big deal) and for the second one causes the error "[Console Commands] Sent debug command to the game, but there was no output"

Does anyone know why this is? As of right now I have the Cook achievement in Stardew but it is not recognized by steam.

Instead of "debug achieve" try "debug achievement"
I was having the same issue, but sadly it didn't fix my issue, Well Read won't unlock for me.

Edit: Mine ended up showing unlocked 2 days ago weirdly despite seeing it locked moments prior.
