Windows Unable to open secret notes

I have the magnifying glass and was able to open several notes. But all of a sudden, it stopped working for me. Shut down, updated, restarted and still not able to open them.

What happens if you try to read them?

I move away from the chest that I store them in. So the note stays above me head. Nothing happens regardless of right or left mouse click. It just stays above my head.

Since you store them in a chest, are you sure they aren’t duplicates that you’ve already read? It should show the number when you mouse over them, and you can see which ones you’ve read in the collections tab.

If not, I’d suggest you upload your save file so the devs can take a look.

How do I do that? I believe you're correct. I just saw that there are 27 secret notes and I've opened them all. So in the event I ever need to save my game, could you tell me how to do that? I looked on the forum as to how to upload a save file and I don't see any help there. Can you guide me on a windows laptop? I looked in my pc for %APPDATA%\StardewValley\Saves but I can't find that.

You could try searching for the farm name in the file explorer, that should bring up the right folder.

I did that. Thanks anyway. If there aren't anymore challenges, I guess I'll stop playing. Appreciate your help.
