PlayStation Unable to add Pumpkin to Luau Soup

I am unsure if this is a bug or just something i am misunderstanding in the game. Is there any reason I am unable to add a gold star pumpkin to the Luau Soup?

It is one I grew the previous Fall and had in a chest. I picked it up from the chest just before heading out to the Luau.

i don't know if you got it fixed but you can only put edible non-cooked items in the soup.
