Switch new game 1.6 no rain bug:

Seems there is a bug where is no rain except for scripted days (Spring 3rd and Summer 13/26). However thunderstorms still appear to trigger normally, so you can get plenty of rain/thunder during summer. But still no normal RNG rain in the spring and fall. (So, if you are going for year 1 community center finish I recommend you Rush foraging 9 and get rain totems with truffle oil + 5 pine before the end of fall to get the fish.)

This is a very frustrating, apparently major bug as I only found out about it on about day 15 of Fall with not enough time to grind to level 120 in the mine to open up the Skull Cavern or get the deluxe barn to get pigs grown in time to make rain totems.

Into year two and no rain. Absolutely a bug that appears to be very widespread.

Yeah that only occured to me once I finished Spring. What farm are you playing on? Doubt it but I wonder if it's a Meadowlands thing. Feel like someone should make a master list of all the bugs from the patch to see how universal they are

I'm also experiencing this on the Switch & on the Meadowlands Farm, just to confirm another instance of it happening.

Same here, no rain in Fall. Normal Farm.

I'm hoping as a failsafe they tweak the probability of getting rain on a month to gradually increase every time the game doesn't make it rain, and reset it when it does.

Yep. Meadowlands, Switch. 100 hours in so there's no way I can start over again.

However, my y daughter is on Switch 1.6 as well on the regular farm and experiencing the exact same thing.

I will add that I am playing on remixed mines. My daughter is not. She is playing plain vanilla. Neither of us have any rain except for the one scripted rain day in Spring and the scripted thunderstorm days in summer. That's it. It's a punishing playthrough.

I can confirm that everyone I know playing on switch experiences this 100 percent of the time, currently. Zero randomized rain days. Six people all reporting the same thing. This is what we know so far:

1. Most importantly, the glitch does not happen to Save Files with Legacy Randomization turned on. Unfortunately, this requires restarting. But it is a workaround.

2. It does not matter what farm you choose, nor does it matter whether or not you chose any remix options.

3. It does not affect Thunderstorms. Storms still happen.

4. It -might- be circumventable with certain starting seeds, as some people have reported to not be affected or are even getting rain on almost every random day. However, I currently have no way to verify this or, if it's true, figure out what seeds are what.

I’m also playing on the Switch, v1.6. I had rain in all seasons Y1 (except winter of course) while playing for the last couple weeks, then suddenly a few days ago when I got to Spring Y2 no rain at all. I’m half way through summer and I’ve had no rain but one thunderstorm.
