Solved [Switch] Every gift is registering as a loved gift

I mean, I'm not angry about it, it's helping me make friends and all. But it does feel slightly like cheating because I know they aren't supposed to love wood. Penny also loves rocks, I didn't test if everyone did, but yeah, it's weird, and definitely a bug.

Edit: okay, I just checked, I'm pretty sure everything is a loved item, I've been giving people joja Cola and they're happy too.

I'm having this too, just made a post. I mean it's useful and all but def makes me feel kind of like im cheating at bringing up my friendships by giving everyone rocks

Yes!! Just figured this out. I was like hm everyone loves mayo… then I was like hm everyone loves cherries.. then I gave Sam a rock hahahahahaha.

I have the current version on my switch 1.6.9.40
There seems to be an abundance of loved gifts, that shouldn't be loved. So far everyone I have given blackberries to has loved them (only three people I havent tried so far) and is in the loved gifts friend list. Corn seems to be loved as well, as does squash and blueberries. Jas loved corn, and sebastin loves blueberries. Everyone I haven given squash to has also loved it.

While I appreciate a faster way to raise hearts, this seems very broken.

This just started happening to me and I was going to report it here too. I’ve been romancing Sam and it’s hilarious that I can give him anything 😂

Totally same...I'm playing on Switch and version is 1.6.9.40.
I sent an email to support.
I hope devs quickly fix this.

I just updated to the most recent version of the game on the Nintendo Switch, and for the past week now almost all in game characters love every item I give them. Now, as a first time player I’m finding it difficult to figure out what each NPC likes/loves and dislikes/hates. I’ve restarted my game app completely to see if it might have possibly been a glitch but I’ve had the same experience with my gameplay every time.

I was playing on my switch today and I gave the wizard a dandelion and he loved it, I went on the wiki and saw that he doesn’t like that, after I took all my garbage on me ( moss, seeds, coal…) and i gave them to Abygail, Krobus, Penny and they all loved it

I’m on fall day 2 year 1, I haven’t gifted much yet so I hadnt paid much attention to it, (I was pretty sure when I gave Haley daffodils in spring they were still liked.) the game had a small updated today when I opened it and this is the first of me noticing this. Literally every gift I give to anyone is loved. Love, liked, neutral, dislike, hate, all show as loved. It comes up When gifting as loved, it shows in their gift log as loved, and is given people hearts the same amount that loved gifts too. Also the past presents I’ve given all show in the gift log as loved.

So my game has been glitching and I can give universally hated gifts and they will love it, I mean I’m not complaining cuz I have leveled up every one like 17 times but I just thought that this was weird and was wondering it this was happening to anyone else on Nintendo Switch or just in general lol

That's a current bug on Switch and maybe other consoles too? I'll be patched out eventually so take advantage of it if you want, or RPG it and don't!
