Windows Stuck behind trees at ginger island (local co-op)

Player 2 (gamepad) joined and went to Ginger Island before host player (keyboard + mouse) did. Player 2 fell asleep there. The next day player 2 was stuck outside the trees at Island East. Host player cannot get close enough to pass a warp totem.
