I think it absolutely deserves it this year. Not only have we had some incredible development to the game from all involved, but also some really community focused feedback/changes that have strived to come to the best balance possible.

Not only are we being sent off with a good chunk of content, but as many tools and as much freedom to modders as possible to really allow them to keep breathing life into the game for years to come.

I think Ape (and devs) absolutely outdid themselves with 1.6, an amazing update (with continued diligent support right now to send it off in as perfect a state as possible)

This is 100% deserved for Stardew and ConcernedApe. More than 8.5 years and 6 major content updates later when nothing of the sort was promised, all while maintaining the top tier recommendation on Steam for that time is quite a feat for an independent developer and now a very small team. The very definition of Labor of Love.

Concerned Ape really deserves this award. It really makes a difference playing a game that gets updated and stays fresh with new options every once in a while.
