Solved Special Requests issue

I'm trying to complete my first special request from the new bulletin board, Fragments of the Past. However, it's only giving me one day to complete, and then it disappears. The wiki indicates it should give 7 days.

I'm using a Switch.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

The board refreshes on Monday. You would have 7 days if you pick the quest up directly on Monday, but if you try later, you have less days.

Another question. If you fail to complete a request in time, would it appear again in the future?

Yes, it will reappear. Some quests even reappear when you succeeded in completing them.
