Windows Sound stopped working after Caroline's 2 star event on PC

Sound stopped working, as if the game was muted, after Caroline's 2 star event where I watched some trippy tea cutscene in her sunroom. I had to restart the game to fix the sound.

I'm on Windows 11 PC, got the game on steam, v1.6.15 build 24356.
