Hello forum community!
My issue is simply that my [ Macbook Pro,Tahoe 26.5.5 iirc ] simply is not working with SMAPI, or at least, I believe that was the issue, I actually have no idea what it is.
It was working fine, even for a moment with mods installed, until I messed around with the CJB cheats files since that mod in particular wasn't working. Then it stopped launching :(, it would show the little bouncing thing it does in the doc for a quick second, then I'd check the terminal for any issues and it would (1) tell me about the graphics card not working and something about the GPU , whatever that means, and (2) after a while of trial and error turning on and off the game, simply refuse to begin. I removed SMAPI and even did a full clean reinstall, but base stardew still just wouldn't turn on so it wasn't a mod issue.
What I had tried originally was I
1. Going to System Settings → Battery → Options
2. Then turning Automatic graphics switching OFF.
3. And then finally rebooting, Stardew launched normally and I could load and play my save.
Is this like.. a common issue? The closest post I've seen is from a year ago, and it's about a sequoia 16 (?) version computer and thus probably doesn't give me what I want. Please help !!!!
(Stardew normally runs fine, it's just smapi that tweaks and fiddles and whatever and then doesn't load >:O)
P.S. apparently it's good to tell about the events leading up to the issue, so hastily I will tell you. First I had just been troubleshooting mods being funky ("Oh noooo you didn't unzip the file you bozo" "Ermm [[file folder]] is missing [[important file]], find [[file]] please.") I just booted up stardew, checked the terminal, looked through the mod folder and fixed it up. Howeverrr.....one mod in particular was being incredibly tiresome (it's the CJB item spawner cheat, guess I should've sticked to natural), it kept having random issues so I kept turning stardew on and off until I was hit with something saying that my graphics card was not working with SMAPI, and something about my GPU? I don't know, I'd read it fully but as of 11;04 I do not have much time. And that's when it stopped working. I troubleshooted for hours on what to do, but the most I could come up with was that it may just be a bug that needs to be patched, but I'm unsure if it's truly the case. As stated previously, base stardew is completely fine, it's just SMAPI that refuses to listen for whatever reason. Any and all help is deeply appreciated! Please help me! The mods I downloaded looked quite lovely :D (it was waterfall forest + medieval houses + earthy recolor :3)
P.S.P.S. the mods worked for like a minute, i forgot if i said this and I'll remove this if I did, but they worked for a signle boot up until I tried to fix the cheats, which is when everything modded stopped working.

- Removed all mods
- Verified Steam files
- Completely deleted and reinstalled Stardew
- Deleted Stardew configuration files
