Not me. I have made similar mistakes in Harvest Moon games though over the 25+ years I've been playing those games.I mistook the shipping bin for a chest. I think everyone made that mistake when they first played Stardew Valley.

what is second attackI didn't know the upgraded Hoe tilled multiple spots.
I didn't know Weapons had a second attack or a block.
I didn't know you could stand on one crop spot and Till/Water/Fertilize/Harvest the block of 9 adjacent ones without moving.
I didn't know the Sword and Scythe don't use Energy. Ended up accidentally using my Axe or Rod and getting Exhausted all the time.
I didn't know you couldn't marry Caroline.
And loads of others long since forgotten. I mega-noobed my way through my first save and it was so great!
I play on mobile, so some of this might not be accurate for other platforms, and activate it when I touch the screen where a monster is (and sometimes other times) With a sword, it's a block, stopping an attack at that moment from harming you. Dagger has a rapid stab thing, and the hammer has a slam with strong knockback. In the item bar the weapon gets a diminishing vertical bar marking the cool-down time until you can use it again.what is second attack
Just to clear it up for anyone playing on other platforms, it's a 'secondary attack'. It triggers (with a cooldown) when you press the other main interaction button (the one you use to open doors for example) when holding the weapon.I play on mobile, so some of this might not be accurate for other platforms, and activate it when I touch the screen where a monster is (and sometimes other times) With a sword, it's a block, stopping an attack at that moment from harming you. The amount of times I've rushed to the Volcano Dungeon early morning in order to spend all day there ... only to immediately return home because I didn't bring my watering can ... embarrassing honestly.I went numerous times to the Mines/Volcano/Skull Caverns... only to realise there that I've stashed my weapon/pickaxe in a chest at the farm.
