Honestly I think the difference in spelling is dumb. Why did we decide we had to spell some random words differently?

Because we wanted a specific "American English" to differentiate us from Britain. Just do research on Noah Webster.

I have another headcanon that the bat cave has something shady underneath. Demetrius didn't set it up for the benefit of the farmer. Maybe a earth crystal farming operation? Also he doesn't actually set anything up to attract bats or grow mushrooms. He just puts them there to hide the operation.

Maru requests a earth crystal for her project once on Pierre's board so feasible. The cave definitely isn't innocent tho.

I just can't look at Demetrius and be like "Yep that guy is definitely not running a secret experiment on my farm using the cave." I just can't. He's sketchy. Maru got his genes no wonder. How does he even earn money anyways? The agriculture fund is like five hundred g so the scientific research fund cannot be that much. Or he sells his research to Joja.
