I thought something like that too but with a bit for fantasy. The wizard put a spell on the valley after he got divorced. Only as well as suspending real time (with a seasons loop) he was supposed to reverse time to when they were happy together. Something went wrong with the little gold clock he used in the spell and all that happened was that the clock turned into a giant clock.
