I got too good at gaming the system, so I have to keep coming up with crazier and sillier challenges to make things difficult.

Why can’t I buy groceries at Pierre’s or Joja like everyone else says they do? No! I am the only one who just gets a catalogue of seeds. Endless seeds. I have to till ground, plant and water my crops before I get to eat just a few crops cause I have to sell the rest just to buy more seeds! Gus is just too expensive in the beginning too. Crops are my least favorite part of the game as a result, but they are essential in the beginning for money and a food source cause we all know there isn’t enough darn spring onions ever!

Oh and the total lack of coal and wood when you need it most and can’t afford to buy it yet.

1. there's no bathrooms?? why???
2. some recipes don't have all their ingredients that would make sense.

made a post about this and ideas for them

I like to think it’s saving Evelyn and George from dying off too. It would mess up the frozen in time feel of the original game. Plus I don’t think CA wanted to elaborate on the family dynamics as they have remained the same through all versions. He focuses instead on other aspects of the game.

The good news is there are plenty of mods to allow your children to grow into school age children. If you have PC.

Not being able to have the dwarf as a roommate. And also putting fences inside a barn and coop and the animals don't stay within the fences. I hate putting machines in barn because the animals are still in the way.

when i forget to do the task i have assigned to a certain day - greenhouse ancient fruit harvesting is on monday for example and wine is tuesday. i always forget

Well 17 year olds are still quite needy at times. The good news is you’ve been playing the game for 17 years and change 🫶

Personally I wish CA would have focused on the family and friendship aspects a bit more too, but it wasn’t meant to be for him there was always a different still cool idea that came first. But yes I agree. I know there are plenty of mods out there for more immersive family life, but you do need a PC for it and not all have one these days.

There is one at the spa…eventually. . I guess grandpa had an outhouse on that old farm somewhere, it would make sense for you then, but for the townspeople i have no idea.
